Shawwal moon not sighted, Eid ul Fitar to be observed on Monday March 31, 2025

ISLAMABAD: The Shawwal moon was not sighted and Eid ul Fitar to be observed on Monday March 31, 2025 in Pakistan. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s introduced and held a meeting on Sunday that it didn’t obtain any reviews associated with the sighting of the moon of Shawwal 1444 AH in the present day.

It means that the primary day of Eid ul fitar in Pakistan will fall on March 31. The primary assembly of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held at the Ministry of Nonsecular Affairs and Interfaith Concord in Islamabad with Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad within the chair, whereas the zonal committees met in their respective cities to sight the Shawwal crescent.

Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Division (PMD) had stated that the age of the moon is 17 hours, and it has to be 19 hours with a view to sight it.

The division had additionally stated that there aren’t any probabilities of the Shawwal moon being sighted in the present day.

In the meantime, South Waziristan in Pakistan and Afghanistan are celebrating Eid in the present day after the Shawwal moon was sighted in space yesterday.
